Who won last night’s debate?

When the Fox News focus group says Obama won, well . . .  Obama won the debate!

More Specific? Wtf? McCain stayed talking in Platitudes. He filibustered his way through the first half of the debate.

I love that even Fox News can’t chop up the facts enough to make it out like McCain won.

I’d have to agree with those who say that the debate was a virtual tie and being that it was a tie it would keep Obama ahead in the polls as McCain would have had to really knock it out of the park to end up regaining the lead (IMHO).

I found John McCain’s refusal to look Barack Obama in the eyes and his continuous condescending tone and frequent use of “You just don’t understand…” to be quite grating.

I thought that Obama stood his ground, showed his willingness at bipartisenship (which unfortunately turned into the perfect soundbite for the Republicans to twist and use to their advantage) when stating ‘you’re absolutely right’ on several occasions. Obama held his own against McCain on both the economy and foreign policy and showed that it will take a lot more for the Republicans to bring down Barack Obama!

I think that this Thursday’s debate between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin will be the more interesting of the debates and give us a more clearly defined leader when it concludes. Plus we have another upcoming debate between McCain and Obama that will also be quite interesting to see what changes if any are made based on the results and commentary that came out of this first debate between the two Presidential candidates.

I’m PrObama and I totally think that he won the debate.

He answered questions directly and addressed the issues and misrepresentations that McCain threw out.

John McCain showed himself to be easily ruffled and inarticulate. For someone so concerned about Obama’s elitism, it was McCain who looked as if he was too good to share the stage with Obama.

Obama held his own and showed us will with his calm, collected, Presidential bearing that he’d be a great representative of the nation as the next Leader of the Free World.

    Hello to all,

Thanks for the great comments. I’m assuming that McCain’s demeanor was a strategy but it seems to have backfired.

Personally, I don’t think that Palin and Biden will ever debate. Sarah Palin is going to have a dog ate my homework moment and won’t be able to attend.

Or she may put some panty hose over her head and rob series of 7 Elevens in her Wasilla neighborhood and claim that she needs to stay home to keep an eye on the 7Elevens and Russia.
