100% Voter Turn Out in Dixville, NH – Obama Wins 15-6

DIXVILLE NOTCH, N.H. (AP) –

Democrat Barack Obama came up a big winner in the presidential race in Dixville Notch, N.H., where the nation’s first Election Day votes were cast and counted early Tuesday.

Obama defeated John McCain 15-6. Independent Ralph Nader was also on the ballot, but received no votes.

Obama’s Grandmother Madelyn Dunham – Photos, Video & More

Sen. Barack Obama’s grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, has died following a bout with cancer, Obama and his sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, said Monday. She was 86.

At a rally in Charlotte, North Carolina, Monday night, the Illinois senator said “she has gone home and she died peacefully in her sleep with my sister at her side.”

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old  Texas rancher whose hand was caught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Sarah Palin and her bid to be a heartbeat away from being President.

The old rancher said ‘well, ya know, Palin is a post turtle.  Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a post turtle is. The old rancher said, ‘when your driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that’s a post turtle. 

The old rancher saw a puzzled look on the doctor’s face, so he continued to explain . . .

You know she didn’t get up there by herself, she doesn’t belong up there, she doesn’t know what to do while she is up there, and you just wonder what kind of dumb ass put her up there to begin with.

Ouch! David Letterman (10/3/08) Fries Sarah Palin’s Debate Performance – Video

Doubt that David Letterman will get many last minute cancellations after the payback that Letterman is serving up to John McCain.  Letterman was brutal to Sarah Palin through the entire show.  It didn’t let up.   NBC anchor Brian Williams was one of Letterman’s guests.  During their conversation Letterman went from mocking Palin to expressing serious concerns about Palin’s qualifications and McCain’s judgement in naming her.
