McCain Campaign Debate Ad Screw Up – “Famous Person’s” Quote About Sarah Palin is Now From Peggy Noonan

Here is the answer to the question posed in my last post.  The original banner ad as seen on The Washington Post site said that the quote was “from a famous person.”   It is amazing how they knew the quote but didn’t know who said it.

We have solved the mystery and the McCain camp has found a “famous person” to say something nice about Palin.  The famous person is . . . Peggy Noonan . . .   Check it out by clicking on the second image to enlarge.    Guess the “She Killed” was really meant to be there.  “She killed every living thing she saw.”

Voice from the Heavens, “Today – Peggy Noonan will be playing the part of the famous person.”

Washington Post Report and Photo of Favorite Lesbian Couple Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson

The Washington Post brings true clarity to the relationship between Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson.    Here is a screen shot of the Washington post report and photo:

Why post this?  Well, we wanted another reason to show a couple of heroes in the gay and lesbian community.  More importantly, this screen shot shows us what we would have been seeing over the last several months if a reputable news organization had been publishing the reports.

In other words, tabloids print the worst and ugliest shots that they can get of their subjects.   They try to make people look bad.  On the other hand, for those of us who usually follow more traditional sources of information about celebrities, we’re accustomed to seeing the BEST shots of celebrities.  We see the photos and video that put “stars” in their best light and that make these ordinary people look larger than life.

So as we watched these photos of Samantha Ronson over the last few months, we were shocked that such an “ugly” and ordinary person would gain the affection of Lindsay Lohan.

But look at this photo from the Washington Post.   Is that even the same girl that we’ve been seeing in the tabloids?

Bottom line – good news sources = good photos of celebrities.

Girls . . . do not screw this up . . . you’re making us too happy.   As Sarah (one of our readers) pointed out in a comment, you’re becoming so fantabulous together that not even Perez Hilton dare to deface a photo of you together.   Yes, even Perez  MANgina Hilton is falling in love with Samantha Ronson and Lindsay Lohan.

The New York Post has more details including quotes from the boyfriend’s MySpace page saying that he doesn’t want children.    Time also has an article.    You might also want to read the spanking given to McCain by Sally Quinn, a Washington Post reporter.    Here is a taste:

 

And now we learn the 17-year-old daughter, Bristol, is pregnant. She and the father of the child plan to marry. This may be a hard one for the Republican conservative family-values crowd to swallow. Of course, this can happen in any family. But it must certainly raise the question among the evangelical base about whether Sarah Palin has been enough of a hands-on mother.

McCain claims he knew about the pregnancy, and was not at all concerned. Why not? Not only do we have a woman with five children, including an infant with special needs, but a woman whose 17-year-old child will need her even more in the coming months. Not to mention the grandchild. This would inevitably be an enormous distraction for a new vice president (or president) in a time of global turmoil. Not only in terms of her job, but from a media standpoint as well.

Although others aren’t so quick to want to jump in on this story.  Hilzoy says this:

Imagine yourself in her position: there you are, seventeen years old, pregnant, unmarried. Maybe you understand what happened and why; and maybe your parents and friends do as well. But zillions of bloggers and reporters and pundits are about to make the most personal details of your life into a political issue, and they don’t understand it at all. And yet, despite that, they are about to use you and your unborn child to score points on one another, without any regard whatsoever for you and your actual situation. 

I want no part of this. None at all.
